WE love the Library !

Justin loves to go to story time at the Library. I also love it because it makes the mornings go by faster. At story time, we sing songs, they read a book, and they do a puppet show. Here is a little clip of him dancing:

Life is getting better!

Justin is finally getting the hang of having a little sister around. He has been such a sweetheart this past week. He throws less fits and loves to help me around the house. He especially loves to do dishes and cook! We call him our "happy helper."

Brooklyn is our little weed. She is growing up fast. At her 2 week appointment she was 10 lbs (in the 90 percentile ) and 21 in long. It has been fun having another little one in our home!

1st Week Home

Wow a mom of 2! Life has definitely been an adjustment this week. It hasn't been as bad as I thought because Brooklyn is such a good baby. She is very calm and relaxed which is totally opposite of her brother when he was a baby.

Life on the other hand has been tough for Justin. He has been learning that his attention is now shared with someone else. He is a little more emotional. Ben has been great to help out when Justin needs to get out of the house. Justin's favorite thing to do with his dad is ride in his truck. Justin does love his little sister. He can't stop kissing her! Hopefully he will be able to adjust quickly!

She's Here!!!

Hello Everyone!

Ben here; well yesterday was the big day. We were called into the hospital at about 6:00 am. By 7:30 am, Steph was all hooked up and the induction procedure was started. It was a bit of an anxious morning. Even at 11:00 am when Steph's water broke she was still at a 3. But after about an hour nap, she improved all the way to an 8 and that is when the action really took off. There was concern at first that the baby was breached, but that was resolved with a second opinion. The doctor came in at about 1:20 pm, and at 1:32 p.m. little Brooklyn was born.

Allow me to take a moment to express how thankful I am to our Heavenly Father. I am so proud of Steph. She stayed faithful through it all and even though she was a little nervous and tried to play tough at first, she took advantage of all the painkillers available and had a really great experience. I was amazed. Not but maybe 10 minutes after Brooklyn was born Steph was already eating. I would too! That was a long morning!

I am also proud of Brooklyn. She is very sweet and I believe she already knows my voice. She likes to squeeze my finger and not let go and she loves to be held. I never thought she would have so much hair either! Wow! Also, Brooklyn appears to be very aware, much more than Justin was. Speaking of Justin, he has been so excited. He loved it when he met her for the first time last night. He kissed her several times and hated to leave. I am not only a lucky man but I am a blessed man too. I don't mean to sound selfish but I have the most beautiful and greatest family. I love these kids and my wife. They definitely make me a better more tolerable man.
