A Day in the Life of Benny

Well,

Benny has interesting days and most of the time they are filled with pretty funny experiences. He is always telling me about them and sometimes I just have to shake my head and laugh. So I thought it might be fun to post some of his interesting experiences. For instance, today while sitting at the light waiting to go, he watched a car come through and turn at the intersection. The crazy thing was that as the car was driving, he noticed that the rear wheels on it were locked up. Apparently the girl driving still had her emergency brake on and she didn't know it. So there was a ton of smoke billowing behind the car as it was moving because the rubber was burning. Suddenly, racing up behind her was a Provo cop, lights flashing and sirens blasting. The funniest part Benny said was that it took all of that noise and lights to get the girl to pull over. Almost as if the smoke and screeching sound wasn't enough!!!

Below are some pictures too of another funny thing that happened to him today. He went to use the bathroom at the office of one of his vendor's. In their bathroom they had this sign. Sometimes I don't think it is a good idea for Ben to have a camera on his phone!!!

Breaking Justin's Sacrament Habit

Every Sunday Justin likes to go outside of the chapel and run around. He just hates sitting still especially in sacrament meeting. So Ben and I have decided to finally brake that habit and make him stay inside with us for the whole hour. If he has to go outside, we don't want him to have a fun time like he is used to.

Here is our progress....

Last Sunday:
Ben took Justin out and let him scream and cry for mom on his lap.

This Sunday:
Justin was a little better. He kept trying to sneak under the bench to run out and he wined a lot.

So hopefully he will be broken in before Brooklyn comes!

Funny things Justin says and does during Sacrament meeting:
Yells "Hi Bishop" while he is conducting
Claps his hands after the sacrament prayer and says yeah bread
Plays peek-a-boo with the baby in front of us
After he eats the bread he yells, "yummy, yummy to my tummy!"
He will start a conversation with a kid on the other side of church

Our 4 Year Anniversary!

Words from my journal Jan 8th 2005:
"My Favorite part about yesterday was to see Ben's face as he looked at me across the alter. I love how he says that I am beautiful and how he holds me tightly in his arms. Our time together is precious and our love for each other is strong. I am excited to continue my life with him!"

Some of my favorite love quotes:

"I love you, not only for what you are, But for what I am when I am with you."
Roy Croft

"Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile."
Elizabeth Browning

"Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one." --John Keats

I am excited that Ben and I will be married for 4 years tomorrow! It has definitely been 4 years well spent! Here is a wedding video I put together of our pictures.

Yeah for another year!

New Years was well spent with my sister's family and parents. It was fun to watch movies, EAT, and enjoy each others company. As I get older, it seems harder to stay up late.

My goals for this year:

1. Lose baby weight after our girl is born!
2. Keep up with temple attendance and scripture reading!
3. Start reading books again. ( Being pregnant it seems that taking a nap is much better than reading)
4. Eat more fruits and veggies....eat less sweets!
5. Be a better wife and mom.
6. Develop a new talent ( I am thinking cooking)
