Trying to get rid of Binky

SO this is my first time trying to get rid of a binky because Justin is a thumb sucker. I have tried to get rid of Brookies binky's cold turkey, but she screamed for an hour and I gave in. So we are trying during the day and just giving it to her at night and at nap time. She still throws fits and she cries for binky during the day. Today is our second day and I feel she is getting a little better,but I need advice on how to get through the crying and screaming with out giving in.
